Can I try WinRater before I buy it?

Just call, email, or go to the Try It Free page to get your trial copy. We can either mail you a WinRater CD or arrange an in-office demonstration. In either case, you’ll get at least 21 days to test drive a fully-operational copy of WinRater with your carrier rates loaded).
How quickly can I get up and running with WinRater?
We can overnight, mail, or e-mail WinRater to you. The installation process takes only a few minutes. (We can also drive to your agency and install it for you.) Once the software is installed, you should take a few minutes customizing WinRater for your agency workflow, i.e. setting up your coverage discounts, SDIP/Group discounts, etc.
Then you are all set to begin quoting. Learning how to quote in WinRater is not difficult at all. Thousands of producers and CSRs have learned WinRater in ten minutes or less.
Can I get training? How much does it cost?
We’re more than happy to visit your agency and train your staff on WinRater. We can hold group “classes” or sit one-on-one with CSRs, or do a little of both. Whatever you need to feel comfortable making the switch to WinRater.
Training is completely FREE.
Will WinRater work with my agency management system?

All the contact, risk, coverage, endorsement & premium information saved in a WinRater quote can be transferred to any of your automation systems with the click of a button. Whether you start a quote in WinRater or your agency management system, our integration bridges “pushes” or “pulls” the data from one system to the other (and back again, if necessary).
Will WinRater integrate with any of my carriers?
The answer is most likely yes, but depends on which specific carrier you write with.
WinRater integrates with most auto carriers in Massachusetts including Arbella, Commerce, Plymouth Rock, Premier, and Safety as well policy processing systems Collaborative Edge and APT. Go to to our WinRater Integration Bridge page for a complete list of partners.
This means you can generate a quote in WinRater and instantly transfer all the data to the carrier for processing. You’re agency will be more efficient, experience fewer data-entry errors, and have more time to focus on high priority tasks.
How and when do I pay for WinRater?
You can pay by check or major credit card. We like to keep things simple here and so you are billed only once a year for each product. The license fee includes Technical Support, Training and all updates and product enhancements. There are no monthly fees for maintenance or anything else.
How do you issue rate changes or updates?
We prefer to have you receive all your updates via our Web Updating System, known as SoftSync. The process is very, very easy and enables us to update you instantaneously.
If you want, you can receive your updates on CDs sent through the mail. We will continue to support this CD update method for the near future to accommodate the wishes of our customers, but we anticipate a day when all customers will update through SoftSync because of the inherent speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of this method.
How do you handle Technical Support?
We’re fanatical about Technical Support.
We aim to handle all questions quickly, competently, and in a friendly upbeat manner.
If you have a question or a problem arises, just call us, email us, or visit our Help Desk page and search our support library. (We try to provide as many options as possible, knowing people like to do things differently.)
The easiest thing to do is to pick up the phone and call us. We handle the majority of tech support calls with little or no wait time. If it is a very busy day, we may have to call you back but we’ll do so promptly. We understand how important it is for your agency to be running problem-free all the time.
If a problem persists, don’t worry: We’ll hop in the car and visit your agency to resolve it in person -- free of charge, of course.
Can WinRater run on a network? What are the system requirements?
Yes, WinRater runs smoothly on every major network environment including all Windows platforms, Novell, and Citrix.
Because the WinRater product line is fairly small in size -- approximately 10 MBs in total -- its system requirements are typical:
- Microsoft Windows 95 or higher
- Pentium class processor
- 64 MB of RAM
