In that time we've managed to gain over 90% of the market share for our line of desktop and Web based products serving the insurance industry. Our environment is both professional and casual. Developer
The ideal candidate is a team player who can adjust to changes in schedules, deadlines, and projects as needs change. As a small company, we value flexibility.
Most importantly, the work is challenging for people who like to roll up their sleeves and see products through from concept to rollout. You'll work closely with our developers who will rely on your analytical skills. If you're a developer who enjoys helping to create as well as analyze this is a great environment for you. Experience in the insurance industry is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze upcoming product ideas.
- Participate in team discussions for design phase of large projects and work solo on design for smaller projects.
- Program designed projects using practices consistent with development team.
- Debug projects and offer support to other team members.
- Maintain new code and existing code where needed.
- Be available to Client Support staff for issues beyond their expertise including minimal client interaction.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science.
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Object Oriented programming.
- Experience with Delphi.
- Web application development experience (HTML, JavaScript, etc) preferred.
- General database programming/scripting experience.
- MySQL experience desirable.
- Good analytic and logic skills.
- Ability to write quick (and accurate) estimates, change orders, detailed specifications and other documentation as needed.
- Ability to multi-task a variety of projects simultaneously.
- See projects through from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- XP and familiarity and general knowledge of applications such as Word/Excel.
- Permanent legal right to work in the United States and availability for interview and employment in the Boston area.
