There is plenty to discuss as we move out of the transition year of Managed Auto Competition. We’ll show our new SinglePoint real time rating system. We’ll bring you up to speed on the latest rating news.

Bring your questions and insights. As always, we will all benefit from a lively, open exchange of information and ideas. And, of course, let us buy you a drink afterwards.

In order to keep things organized, please email Heather to let us know you will be attending. If you’d like a ticket to the Big Event, please ask. Looking forward to seeing again —

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

I heard Commissioner Burnes speak today at the New England 1752 Club. She made it very clear that she won’t be making any changes to how credit scoring is used for personal lines rating in the foreseeable future.

This means credit scoring will continue to be allowed for homeowners renewals but prohibited for private passenger auto rating.

During the Q&A period, I asked her how long would she leave things as is. She said she was sensitive to how tumultuous this issue is and she doesn’t want to upset the MA auto market any time soon.
