Still unsure on how WinRater/SinglePoint handles Real Time Rating and Submitting?
Watch this brief video that shows a complete workflow from start to finish:
From June 2008 through January 2009, over 40,000 new business Auto or Home Apps have been submitting to carriers through WinRater/SinglePoint.
Last week, SinglePoint had its best week ever with just about 2,000 Apps submitted.
There are plenty of improvements that can be made and more carriers to get on board, but SinglePoint is a solid success. These numbers prove it out.
If your agency is not using SinglePoint please contact Tonya or Heather immediately. You really are missing out on a significant way to improve your overall efficiency.
Buckle up, we’re heading down a whole new road!
Plymouth Rock is the first carrier to plug into WinRater/SinglePoint’s Real Time Rating system.
This means the quote that is displayed in the WinRater premium list will actually be calculated on Plymouth Rock’s web rating engine.
SinglePoint is like a lovable golden retriever doing the leg work while you focus on other more important things (like your insured!). SinglePoint feeds the quote data to the Plymouth Rock rating engine for calculation and then retrieves it for use in your WinRater.
With the exception of having to click a “quote” button and waiting a few seconds, you won’t notice a big change in your workflow. But you will enjoy more accurate Plymouth Rock rates, in which all third party reports such as Registry and eligibility reports have been run.
Next week, we’ll begin sending Plymouth Rock agents a SoftSync email to activate this functionality. Be sure to contact us with questions or concerns. And look for more info about this exciting change from us and Plymouth Rock in the coming days!
We’ve begun sending out the update to WinRater 6.0. Once you have successfully upgraded, check out one of the exciting new 6.0 features. Agents that license the Registry’s Virtual Private Network can now instantly retrieve RMV data and have it pre-filled in the appropriate fields in WinRater at the start of the quote.
* Requires the RMV’s Virtual Private Network.
Please call the RMV Help Line at (617) 351-9596 for an application.
Benefits include:
|
• |
Greater accuracy! WinRater will quote based on verified RMV data. |
|
• |
Quote faster! This feature will pre-fill over 60 rating fields required in WinRater including annual mileage, SDIP, complete driver record/history, etc. The time to quote is significantly reduced because you no longer have to leave WinRater to gather RMV data. |
|
• |
Completely automated! By accessing the various ALARS reports and pre-filling the data in WinRater, the only thing left for you is to review the Policy Options and select coverage limits in WinRater. |
This new RMV Integration in WinRater allows you to focus on the client instead of data entry. Our goal is to improve your ease-of-use and accuracy so that you can quote business faster and more confidently.
Real Time Rating is a part of our new WinRater/SinglePoint 6.0 upgrade. We’ve spent well over a year building this functionality so that agents can get quotes directly from carrier web sites. We’re excited to make it available to MA agents.
There are many benefits of Real Time Rating but the top two (as far as we’re concerned) are:
1. Single, consistent rating workflow for multiple carriers – WinRater/SinglePoint will deal with logging into & gathering quotes from your carriers’ web rating system.
2. Third party reports (i.e. RMV lookups, credit reports, etc.) required by carriers are included in the real time rate. This eliminates a lot of bottlenecks for agents and helps guarantee accuracy.
When you upgrade to 6.0, your WinRater/SinglePoint will be able to handle real time rating. However, we do not expect to go live with the first “Real Time Rated” carrier until late January. (This carrier is currently finishing up testing on their back end.)
Please call or email Charlie if you have any questions or would like to discuss this in detail.
Agents submitted nearly 1,800 new business Apps through SinplePoint in the first week of December.
That’s the most ever in one week.
If you’re not currently submitting new business via SinglePoint, you’re missing out on a great efficiency tool.
Call Tonya or Heather to walk you through the set up process. You’ll be glad you did.
That’s right, the number of new business Apps that agents submitted through SinglePoint for the month of September was 5,363.
We continue to steadily increase the number of submissons from month to month.
But we still have to plug in more carriers to SinglePoint and get more agents to use it.
Due to popular demand, we are extending our SinglePoint Webinar series on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1pm! Join us for “Tonya’s 30-minute Tune-Up,” a quick and informative online seminar to help your agency get the most out of SinglePoint.
Gain a thorough understanding of the SinglePoint submission workflow that is guaranteed to save you time & keystrokes.
Discussion includes setting up and optimizing SinglePoint for your agency.
Time: 1:00pm-1:30pm

As I’ve mentioned before, we’re working toward building real time rating in SinglePoint. WinRater will continue to manufacture and support carrier rates. But for those carriers with multi-variate rate filings or unique rating requirements, WinRater/SinglePoinnt will send a real-time-rate request to the carrier web server and return the quoted premium. Agents will enjoy the best of both worlds. We expect to begin internal testing with one well-known Auto carrier in late September/early August. We’re scheduled to begin beta-testing with agents by late fall. And the good news is we’re right on schedule!Look for a lot more information on real time rating in the next month or so.
Just getting the early reports for the month of August and it looks like agents submitted some 5,000 new business Apps to their carriers through SinglePoint.
That’s an increase of 1,000 Apps from July, a significant uptick!
