DJ Rielly Insurance Agency User Story
A highly automated, mid-sized agency on Massachusetts' South Shore, DJ Rielly has used WinRater Home and Auto since 1997.
Reason for choosing WinRater:
"We started using the WinRater for Autos program after reviewing a demo disk that we received in the mail. We thought it was great. We were using a DOS rater at the time and we were interested in a more up-to-date system. Our management system is AMS for Windows and so we wanted to take further advantage of the power of Windows."
Saving time with WinRater:
"After switching over to WinRater for Autos and seeing how much easier it was to use, it made sense to move to WinRater for Homes as well. We are very conscious of time management at this office and really appreciate how much time is saved by using a system like WinRater."
A real sales tool:
"The ability to quote as you go is a big benefit to our staff…switching limits and rating criteria is no longer a big deal. Being able to export is a major benefit. We’ve done a fair amount of book transfers lately and the ability to quote with multiple carriers simultaneously has been a big help in showing our insureds a comparison of the products and premiums available to them. It is a real sales tool from that perspective."
Service a plus:
"We’ve always been impressed with the level of service from Boston Software. When a question comes up that requires a phone call – I like that I can get a human on the line immediately. Most recently we ran into a question with exporting and one of their staff actually came into the office to teach our people how to use it properly. That is practically unheard of these days!"
Shorter learning curve:
"We train our staff in multiple tasks so that we can cover for each other when there’s an unexpected absence. WinRater has been very beneficial to us in that regard because it’s so easy to learn. Our commercial lines CSR’s and producers all can produce an accurate and professional looking quote within minute, even though they may not be required to on a regular basis. That was not an option with our prior rating software. It was difficult to learn and would produce a quote that still required manual manipulation to add some company specific endorsements. Then, if the quote needed to be included in a proposal – it still had to be completely retyped before presenting it to the insured. That was a lot of wasted effort."
